May 2010

Charity Partner Announced

We are pleased to announce that once again the run will benefit the UK based London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard. The LLGB provide a comprehensive and confidential telephone helpline to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people in the UK. They are staffed by a team of volunteers who answer more than 30,000 calls a year. Funds raised would be used to improve their services to the community – particularly around sexual health and domestic violence.

Pride Run Workplace Champions

As part of Pride Run 2010, teams of 3 employees working for the same company, organisation or financial institution are invited to compete for the title of Pride Run Workplace Champions. This is an ideal opportunity for participating organisations to use the race as a platform to promote both diversity and fitness in the work place. Runners have the extra benefit of competing with their colleagues in a fun and social atmosphere and will help to raise vital money for our chosen charity.

We will once again be awarding for the highest finishing social group. For those of you who want to dress up for the first time we will also be awarding prizes for the best costumes!
